NAMI Blog Post: Discrimination and Racism in the History of Mental Health Care
July is Minority Mental Health Month and I was really thrilled to be asked by NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) to write a blog post about my research for them.
NAMI are a wonderful organization for peer support and people with lived experience, and it’s really important to me that this project reaches the people whose history I am speaking to, and that they see themselves reflected accurately in that history.
I am always willing to hear from people who want to tell me their or their familie’s stories, so please do email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to participate.
